Richard Mills - Partner
As a dual qualified specialist in construction and law, Richard is a ‘one stop shop’ - ideally suited to owning client requirements from start to finish.
Richard worked as a site based quantity surveyor with John Laing Construction, moving Davis Langdon & Everest in 1990 where he worked as a quantity surveyor whilst studying for a law degree. He read Law at London University and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1994. He subsequently worked with EC Harris specialising in construction and engineering claims and contract advice, and became an Associate of the practice in 1996 and Partner in 1998.
In 2002 Richard established Mills & Co to provide high quality dedicated focus to clients.
He has worked exclusively on construction and engineering law for the past 16 years.

- defending and pursuing claims on construction and engineering projects
Richard is a Fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, former Member of the RICS International Governing Council (2003-07) Chairman of the RICS Ethics, Conduct and Consumer Policy Committee (2003-07). He is a Member of the Society of Construction Law and also Member of the London Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
